Hi, Can you help me trace what happened to Elizabeth Powell B.1879 In Oddington near Stow on the wold Gloucestershire, the last information i have she was in the local area Workhouse !911 census record where she gave Birth to a Child in May. Her Father was the Village Baker in Oddington and he was called William,he died 1897. I believe she left on her own and previously was working in London and may have gone back there?.

It is very difficult to track someone if you do not know where they are in the country, and whether they married at all.
You can do a general search for deaths or marriages, but if she is any where in the country....
If you think/hope that she married and has legitimate descendents, have you looked to see if anyone else on here has her in their tree?

Hi Patchem, Thank you for advice. It is not easy due to the person being female and common names as well. I was more hoping someone local to that area would reply. I do know she was single had worked in London a servant to a family and women who became pregnant would only get help from their home town in the workhouse, the child born was registered and i am related to that person. I am familiar to the rest of the family and know the child that was born in the workhouse was dumped by the mother. Its a sad story from those days. :-(
