I am trying to find parents of William Caswell born 1835 Pater Pembrokeshire Wales( Pater was also known as Pembroke Docks ) Wales.
Also William Caswell's wife's surname- Mary unknown born c1833 Mrthy Glamorgan Wales.
Son of William Caswell and Mary- John Caswell born 1878 Thornaby Stockton on Tees. John Caswell married Mary Jane Silman Middlesbrorugh.
John Caswell died 1927 Middlesbrough.

Something seems off. Where is he in 1841 and 1851? There are no Caswells in Pembrokeshire until 1892 on FreeBMD. Makes me think he was born under another name.

Yes it is quite a puzzle but as you say maybe 'Caswell' was not his
birth Surname.
