Irma Cavaye b 1920.?
Unless she had a cousin of the same name, her name was Irma Aline Cavaye,
b 9 Feb 1918.
She was married to Walter Gough and died in 2005.

Although I have not searched in great detail, Papers Past has many articles on the Cavaye families.
I spotted that some related to the children of Eustace and Violet prior to their marriages. Mostly School/Social articles.

OH... the other thing I mean't to say .
Violet M Nicholson Cavaye.

On ALL ERs her name shows as :
Violet Magdalene Ferrers Cavaye ( I presume Nicholson was her maiden name)

Yes As I thought.....
Ernest Desmond Cavaye was married to Winifred Ethel.
He died at his parents home, on 25 Jun 1945 at 1 Barraud Street, Lower Hutt

Ernest Desmond and Winifred Ethel also had a daughter named Denise Neville Cavaye who died in infancy.

Peter Kenneth Cavaye served in the N.Z.M.C
Pte Cavaye was an unmarried Clerk at the time, but gave his mother's details as next of kin
Mrs V.E.M Cavaye, 1 Barraud Street, Lower Hutt

He then appears on ERs from 1946-1954 at the same address with his parents, then vanishes.
He Is a teacher but does not appear to have a wife.
To find out where he went, I did a simple google search:

At the NZ address all ERs there is another woman in the household
Her name is Winifred Ethel Cavaye and she is a widow.
I cannot tell if she is a daughter in law of Eustace and Violet , or another relative. She vanishes in 1957.

According to a tree found on Mundai, Barbara Neville Cavaye was the daughter of Eustace and Violet.
Her husband was called: Vivian Peter Uren and they appear on all Ers up until 1981.

Desmond Cavaye b 1919 was called ERNEST Desmond Cavaye who died in 1945 aged 26yrs.
HE was possibly the husband of Winifred Ethel?

I have no connection to this family, simply trying to help.

You are right, only Historical records can be searched. I cannot access other non historical material either.
There is a 100 yr embargo on births and an 80yr embargo on marriages.
However, deaths can be found with the name Cavaye.

This of course will find only males as you would need to know who any of the girls married to get their deaths
Ancestry has all NZ electoral rolls up until 1981 which means that you could, in theory find one of the sons, and the name of his wife.

There is this:
Under the name Cavaye there is a death for BARBARA NEVILLE UREN. She was born 17 Feb 1925 and died in 2005.
This could be Barbara listed on your original thread or possibly a cousin of the same age, but evidently this woman's married name was Uren

I can see quite a few of their deaths already ....simply enter the date range
eg 1/1/1919 - 20/7/2012

Any males that are not found on this, are either still living or moved elsewhere
