Please can anyone look for a wedding day picture in local paper for a wedding that took place at Portwood Parish Church in Stockport on 16th June 1951 for David Selwyn Birch and Doris Owens Thanks Pam

Contact the paper and ask if they have an archivist

Are you 100% sure that such a picture was published?

or e-mail Stockport library and ask if they have newspaper archives.

I do not know if there is a picture but as i have exact wedding date cant be too many papers to choose from Thanks Pam

What do you expect to happen if someone goes to the trouble of visiting the Stockport library and looking for the 'photo' - which may, or may not, exist?

Try doing some searching yourself........google for the name of the local paper.......and contact them

Or contact the library - as suggested above

Please can anyone help with locating a small death notice in the Stockport Advertiser dated 20th February 1925 for Doris Owens I have tried to look at some of the Newspapers on line but not sure if this one is available on line Many Thanks Pam

Hi Pamela, that newspaper doesn't seem to be included in the British Newspaper Archives.

Is that her death date? If not, do you know it (guess it would have just been a few days before the newspaper).

EDIT: There doesn't seem to be anything in any of the other papers, either (not all have been scanned yet)

The Death Date is 14th Feb 1925 It is only in Stockpprt Advertiser I will have to send for it to Stockport Heritage I think Was just hoping I could find online Thanks Pam
