Reggie many thanks for you reply. The children were bought up in bedford by their aunt I dont know the exact date but I think it was about 1914 onwards. I have not tried the Irish census but thanks for the tip. I have a copy of the marriage certificate it states her father as John Carroll who was a policeman, But what is confusing is on my aunts birth certificate she gives her maiden name as Moynihan?.On your second posting I already have all that info Thanks anyway. On your third I have a copy of that od the death of the person concerned and I am in the throws of validating the info but it does look like he is my grandfather but he has a different wife as the informant? thanks for all your hard work

Where were her children brought up?

Have you tried the FREE 1901 Irish census?

Marriages Jun 1906 (>99%)
Carroll Maggie Bedford 3b 791
Lowe Joseph Bedford 3b 791
Lowe William Robert Bedford 3b 791
Pope Rose Emma Bedford 3b 791

As you know the exact marriage date, you must have her father's details.....if she knew him

I am trying to find my long lost grandmother, her name was either Maggie Carroll or Maggie Moynihan she was born in Tralee Co.Kerry R.O.I. in approx 1888, she married an Englishman, William Robert Lowe who was a soldier in the Royal Army Medical Corps they were married in Bedford England on 15th June 1906. They had two children my mother Elizabeth ( who was born in Fermoy Co.Cork R.O.I.) and my aunt Margaret. I know where she was up to 1911 after that she is a mystery. Can anybody help.
