Hi,

I am trying to find where my G.G grandmother was born in Ireland she was born in 1843. Her father was James and mother also Catherine who was also born in Ireland. She married Samuel Thompson and lived in Manchester UK. where her 2 sons James Kelly Thompson and Samuel Shelly Thompson where born and in Isle of Man in the UK, and then married a James Wright McAllister.

Do you have any idea where in Ireland (if she was) she was born? Did she have any siblings?

She was not born in Ireland according to the 1881.91 and 01 census's

So where did you get that info from?

You are saying her parents were James and Catherine born Ireland...how do you know this?

The baptism K gave you, which would fit says James and Jane

But their births pre-date the marriage so not sure how that works ?

For them to have been registered as Thompson before they married then he must have registered them?

Can't find anything for James - bmd for IOM not available??? No Samuels in Salford but there is this one for Chorlton which is only four miles away
