I am looking for anyone who could tell me anything about my great grandfather Henry Dickens who was born around 1824 and was married to Alice Martin. I can find no record anywhere of his birth and his wedding certificate has only a cross for his father saying 'Dickens'.

I would guess that he was illegitimate because of lack of information on wedding certificate and no obvious birth.
