Glitterbaby

thank you so much for your help. I got the surname for Frederick from the death certificate of Emma Ibbott's son George in 1913 He is the informant and described as Step-father present at the death.

Yes, I think that lady is Fred Peaks wife Fred and Emma used to be neighbours as children, so my guess is when Charles up and left and Fred's wife died, they got together.

Charles Ibbott died in 1952

Probate records for Emma are very interesting. Thank you again

I wonder if there is anyone who would kindly look up a possible marriage for me. My great grandmother Emma Ann Ibbott born 1866 born Warboys Huntingdonshire , seems to have aquired a new hu sband a Frederick Peakes born 1864 in Somersham Hunts somewhere between the 1901 and 1911 census. They were living in and around Peterborough all their lives. He is listed with her on the 1911 census, but his name his changed to Frederick Ibbott. My theory is that her husband(Charles Ibbott) left her with many children ,they were not divorced and then she moved old Fred in! I would like to think there was a marriage but cannot find it . Would be so grateful if someone could take a look for me.

Many thanks Chris
