Any clues to his mothers maiden name would be helpful. All i have is that she was called Joan 1841-1920 b Edinburgh Scotland.She lived with Charles in 1911 in Worthing Sussex.
I also have no idea of who Charles father was.

Is this a case of needing to buy Charles birth certificate or marrige certificate to Alice Emily Marshall in 1898. If so where is the best place to purchase such documents from?
