Yes, that's another possibility. Also I have not found a later marriage of his mother marrying as a Baseden.

His mother's maiden is given as Glynn or Baker on FreeBMD.

It may be that his mother remarried and he used his stepfather's surname.

He may never have married and may still be alive so wouldn't feature in either marriages or deaths

I can't find a marriage, a death or a listing as a passenger for John C Baseden, even using "All Collections" on Ancestry! :-S :-S

What happened to him !

I do have the 1980 death of Wilfred, I also have his two further marriages & children.

I do wonder what happened to John C Baseden :-(

John C Baseden was born in Newton Abbot, Devon in 1944, the son of Wilfred James Courtenay Baseden & Pauline Heather Glynn-Baker. This marriage didn't last. I can find no mention of John C after his birth or find his mother's birth or possible subsequent marriage.

Can anyone please help.
