Find Ancestors

Hi Folks,

I'm after more help to knock down another brick wall!

Annie Humphreys married Sebastian Bridge Morton in Holborn by Banns on 6th February 1875. They were both of full age, and Annie's Father was shown as James Humphreys, Cabinet Maker.

Through the various census entries I 'know' that Annie was born in Clifton, Bristol c.1852. More than that I have not been able to find, so I don't know her DoB or Baptism date, nor her Mother's name, so have been unable to take this line any further back. I have tried variations of the name Humphreys, and the marriage record (which was kindly found by someone in this community for me) shows her and her Father's name as Hamphreys! I haven't been able to find her and her family in the 1861 or 1871, and by the 1881 census she is married and living with Sebastian Bridge Morton.

Any pointer or advice would be very welcome. I have received a lot of help from this Community, for which I am very grateful.

It is actually two names, the Bridge bit being his Mother's maiden name. So, Septimus Bridge Morton, though I've never seen the 'Bridge' bit added to his Father's name. So far as I am aware, he was just John Edward Morton, Solicitor.
