Hi all,
Please could anyone help??
Iam trying to find more info on Edward Ledsham (surname could of been spelt differant ) all i know is that he was born abt 1821, his father was Joseph Ledsham. I dont know of a wife for Edward but had a son named Edwin Ledsham born 1848 in Flintshire, Wales. Edwin married a Anne Hughes.
Can anyone please help........

Possible birth for Edwin - the cert will give you his MMN and then you can look for a marriage:

Edit: just noticed that Edward is shown ans unmarried in 1851.

No Edwin Thomas birth in index

Remember about the rounding of ages on 1841 census so might not be twins

In the 1841 the ages of those over 21 were rounded down to the nearest 5. So, somebody shown as 20 could be anything from 20 to 24.

In the 1841 Census a policy of rounding down ages was in place. As such, people aged:

15-19 were recorded as 15
20-24 were recorded as 20
25-29 were recorded as 25
30-34 were recorded as 30
35-39 were recorded as 35...and so on

But the baptisms for Edward and Margrate are 2 yrs befor they was born, could the years be the wrong way round??

was baptised 23 aug 1840
His mothers name was Margaret and fathers name was John Davies Ledsham.

was he the brother of Edwin Ledsham??
Because i have have his father as Edward Ledsham born 1821
