Please could someone tell me if any witnesses are named on the ancestry Yorkshire parish record of the marriage of Robert Sutcliffe to Mary Mitchel(l) on 9 Feb 1832 at Heptonstall/Crosstone

note - I have other Sutcliffe threads and this is the ONLY information I need here please

Very difficult to make out Ann - I'll send you the image.

Looks like they were Wm Crabtree (Crumbtree?) and John Motley ???

Robert was a weaver. Robert and Mary were both from Longfield.

Yes, there are.
First guess; William Crabtree and John Ottley.

Second guess;
Wotley or Motley.

Third guess:
Neither.

thank you both - Crabtree sounds right - it was a normal name for the area

Uttley was another name so would guess at that

MC looking at the image you sent not surprised it was not translatable
