i am looking for descendants of annie elizabeth kelly, born 1880? and who married joseph miller born 1876?
annie's parents were elizabeth and lawrence kelly, elizabeth being from ireland.
annie's husband joseph was born in germany with the surname muller.
annie's siblings were,
evalina, rosanna, wilfred, agnes and amelia.
annie's marraige could have been in 1902 and her children were agnes mary miller, winifred and evelyn.
would be most greatful of any help

Are you sure this is the right Annie as according to the 1911 she was born c1876. this one is c1880

Go to freebmd and look for possible marriages for the children

You say her marriage could be 1902 which indicates you havent got the marriage cert ?? how have you found her parents names then??.

The marriage cert will name her father.if known.

first of all, sorry for replying the wrong way. thank you to everyone for your help. through all your replies, i seem to be on track (hopefully). yes the marraige between annie and joseph would have been warickshire, yes annie was widowed by 1911 and yes as far as i know joseph is buried in derby. i realise dates could be out by a few years, and it does not help by not knowing them for deffinate. i have tried the freebmd and at the moment dont know what i am doing wrong as it all comes up with no matches.
i got the names for annie;s parents by searches that both my cousin and brother have done, but like me they are very limited with information.

As you can see she married as Annie not Annie Elizabeth and her age on the 1911 census doesnt equate with that Annie Elizabeth from the 1881 census

Dont forget to tick the box that asks if the GRO ref is known then all you need is the ref posted above.

As has already been said, you really need her marriage certificate to confirm her age and her father's name and occupation.

Without the marriage certificate you may be tracing back the wrong family.

now i am really confused. the 1881 census puts her yearof birth at 1880 and the 1911 puts it at 1876. after reading all you help, i sent off for the marraige cert. but now i dont know if i have the right family or not. didnt know it was going to be this difficult.
oh well, see what the cert shows when it gets here.

You should always move back in order. You know it's her marriage so order the certificate.

That will give you her father's name and her age at marriage...gives you a better idea then of which certificate to buy for her birth.

hi everyone,
when i first started this, i answered shirley wrongly and did a pm instead of where you all could see.
i now have the marraige cert for annie elizabth kelly. however, dont think its the right one. i have grown up believing my great dranddad was karl muller born in germany and he married an irish lass called colleen (the name colleen has ben explained to me could have been a nickname.) my cousin puts his name as joseph and annie. i have tried the names karl joseph, and joseph karl. since all this i have now found a record of a josef muller and a josef miller. i was led to believe that josef was a yailor like his father and the name of annies father was lawrence kelly. this cert shows a joseph miller, was a tailor but his father is named as henry and was a brick layer and it names annies father as john kelly. very doubtful this is the right cert, but thanks for all your help and i will let you know if its right or wrong.
