If Matilda knew her father, his name will be on the marriage cert

I think the NK for the marriage condition was indicative of the enumerator's disapproval

No marriage - so it looks like a dead end

It could be that Matilda was married to someone else...................although I can't see a likely record

You could buy the cert of the birth posted earlier.............but it would be speculative

Thanks for trying.Matilda appears on trees on Genes and Ancestry but I did not spot anything pre 1871.
