Hi again

LancashireAnn- re the christening... oops didn't notice the birth date-it does look like Charles' sister
Christina and AnnCardiff-thanks for the info I will look into it-the marriage looks good as her father was described as a carter on the 1861 census and if Charles did die in India then all the pieces look like they fit
Thanks everyone for all the help

Christine

I missed that too AnnCardiff

born 1859 - baptised 1879

wonder if that was a conversion to Cof E

St Mark's was Cof E but marriage of her parents was 'registrar attended' ie possible RC

Southworth was a common RC name associated with the Preston area

Hi
Charles was born in Hoghton Lancs in 1841 and married Margaret Wilson in 1861 in Preston. They had a daughter Elizabeth Ann in 1862.
I have Charles with his family (parents William and Ann and siblings) in 1851 and with his in-laws and Margaret in 1861, both years in Preston........he then seems to disappear of the face of the earth. I cannot find him in any later census and there doesn't seem to be an age appropriate death for him.
If any one has a little time I wonder if you can try to locate him for me.
Thanks in advance
Christine
