John Friend Ogbourn's first marriage circa 1850

Caroline Report 11 Jul 2012 09:52

I'm having difficulty finding the first marriage of a relative John Friend Ogbourn born 1823 and died 1875. In the 1851 census John is listed as a seaman living with his parents James and Charlotte. Also there is a daughter in law Amelia and brother Henry. Amelia was born about 1829 and had a child Charlotte Amelia in 1849 who died in 1850. Amelia died in 1859.

Any assistance gratefully received!

Caroline

I can't see a marriage between him and Amelia.

I wonder Charlotte Amelia Ogbourn born 1849 who died 1850 in Medway, Kent might be their child. In which case, the birth certificate would give you the mother's name.

I'm trying to see if she was baptised at Gillingham, but I'm got up to December 1849 and the City Ark site has gone wrong on me.

If no-one else has any luck, I'll try again later.
