Mike, There is a marriage of a Lucy Hollinshead to a William Stockton in 1902 in Stafford. Now if this is her, she had a stillborn baby in Nov 1903, which is counted as a child in the 1911 census with John Mannion as the father. |

However there are other John Mannions,on 1891 1901, single from Ireland, one married...but you'd need to know his father's name? |

1911 does state that John was married, and it also states that Lucy was married and next to her name it is noted she was married for 8yrs. |

John was considerably older than Lucy - perhaps he had a wife back in Ireland, and was thus unable to marry her |

There is a birth for Lucy Hollinshead on Staffs BMDs 1882, and as per yesterdays thead ( and thanks for PM Philip) there are also 3 children that Philip knows about after the 1911...all Mannion with mmn Hollinshead. |

John was single in 1901 census, he appears to be married by 1911 as he has had 5 children, 4 still living in 1911, Lucy died in 1918. |
