Thank you for replying and yes I did have the marriage to Elizabeth Wade but again thanks for taking the time to look and reply.
I appreciate the tax information though as this is something new. Its been so difficult to find his birth details as some sites state this as Little Marlow and other sources say Richmond. No parish records confirm or dispute these.

I have done really well in tracing my ancestors back with the help of many on the site and thank you if you are one of them. I wondered if anyone who has access to Ancestry could possibly do a look up in the new Tax records please.
I'm looking for any info on Richard Stanford c1765 who was head shepherd to George 3rd. I have no confirmation of his birth but it is thought to be in Little Marlow, Bucks but he died in Richmond, Surrey in 1837.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
