Find Ancestors

PM received stating that James and Susan married in Jersey in 1871.

Checking the census he is based there in the Army giving his age as 29 in 1871 born Lambeth. I can't find him in the Servce records or his marriage in the Army marriages unfortunately.
Elizabeth his wife on the census records is from Jersey and when James dies and she re-marries she does so as Elizabeth Susan Ashlin to James Hider in 1896.

I'm not seeing a birth for James 1843/45

Mary is 10yr older than her husband, I wonder if it's a 2nd marriage and James wasn't born Ashlin ?

Can you confirm where and in what year James and Susan married please?

need help Traced back to james ashlin b 1843 married susan rapsey in 1851. His father shown on marriage cert as Thomas ,a farmer.
I have somehow got the idea Thomas has Lincolnshire roots He may have been married to a Sarah or Henry ( Henrietta?? ) Can anyone help with confirmes place and date of Birth for thomas.
