I am trying to find any descendents of William Miller who was born in 1876 at Bridgeton, Glasgow. He was the son of Janet and Hugh Miller. |

Thanks Jan, already tried the obvious, clutching at straws now. |

I have checked Ancestry and nobody there has this family as far as I can tell so far. |

Who died first, Edward or Janet? If he did, then Janet's heir would be her closest relative, her son William (have I got that right!!). |

Edward Hector died 3 weeks prior to Janet. His Will was written some time earlier and named Janet as sole heir. Presumably as they died so close to one another, it went to Probate. |

I am not sure it matters how closely they died, just who died first. Janet would have inherited from Edward. I imagine Janet had no will, hence probate, and William's entitlement. |
