Find Ancestors

Could anyone with access to baptisms please check for the baptism of Beatrice Elsie Scott in Spalding in 1897 to confirm her parent's names.

The 1911 census tells me that my great grandmother had lost two children (one of whom I know) so I'm trying to find the other one. As she gave her other girls two forenames I am hoping this is the other one.

Yes Maddie, that's the death I found but there are quite a few Scott deaths in Spalding between my great grandmother getting married and the 1911 census so I'm trying to find the right one. Hope if anyone can find the baptism of Beatrice Elsie Scott it will name her parents.

As there are three or four deaths of babies in Spalding - any one of which could the the death I am looking for I didn't want to have to send for all the birth certificates to find which is the right one.

I just have a "hunch" that Beatrice Elsie might be the right one so thought the baptism if I could find it would save sending for the birth certificate.

The death of this child would be between 1891 and the 1911 census so those records don't cover burials in those years.

Looking at the births & deaths and ref to the gaps between the children, I think youre right about Beatrice Elsie being the other child who died

Mind you, there is a death for a Mary Jane in 1910

Sorry I got called away from the computer. Yes, you have the right family. Mary Maria was my great grandmother. She had my grandmother before she married Samuel Scott so these children are my grandmother's half sisters (I have photos of Maud and Grace).

I guess if I want to know I'll have to buy either the birth or the death certificate for Beatrice Elsie. I have a feeling that's the right one because somewhere in the back of my mind I'm sure the name Elsie was mentioned years ago in relation to this family.

Thanks again for your help everyone - was just hoping a baptism record could be found so I didn't have to buy a certificate.
