I´m sure I have asked for help with this before, but can´t find the thread. It was several years ago & I now have more info.
have found him on the Land Tax returns in Ipswich in 1798.
He was a witness at his daughter Mary Ann´s marriage to William Bailes in 1833 in Sunderland. 1841 he is back in Ipswich with his son John & daughter Eliza Worledge & 2 of her children. 1851 he is in an almshouse in Ipswich alone. He was a mariner by occupation but no idea why his family should be in Sunderland.
No trace on 1861 but he died in Ipswich in 1862.
Can find no traace of a birth or marriage for him. Am wondering if he was illegitimate as there was an MP surname Wollastan in ipswich around the time he was born
Any ideas anyone please. have gone through familysearch until I´m cross eyed.

Do you not have a baptism for any of his children?
They may give you a mother's name which may help find a marriage!

Yes I have the marriage of Mary Ann & William Bailes. Think I mentioned in my post that Wollaston Bacon was one of the withesses.
Can´t find baptisms for any of the children(Eliza abt 1810, Mary Ann abt 1811,
John abt 1815 & possibly William abt 1809. All born Ipswich according to the censuses.
