Do you know what year David Williams was born? I have found that most of my ancestors were married when the man was around 21 (although obviously this isn't the same for everyone). His birth year would possibly help narrow down the marriage year.

Did they have any children born after 1837 whose births may have been registered?

Morning Adeline,

As you say Williams and Mary - not a good combination, then add Wales and 'Ag Lab' into the mixing pot!!
I know (according to census details) both were born Newtown as were their first two children. Unfortunately that is about all I have

Have you tried familysearch.org?

It's a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack, isn't it, with a combination of the names David Williams and Mary, especially when you are not sure of Mary's surname. Do you have any idea where in Montgomeryshire the marriage might have taken place?

Looking for the marriage of David WILLIAMS to Mary (possible surname RUDGE. It would be between 1820 & 1831 when 1st known child was born. I am sure it would have taken place in Wales - possibly Montgomery area - before the family moved to Shropshire.
Any help greatly appreciated

Kay
