Good morning all in the forum.
Trying to find out more of my gt gt gt granddads. George in Falmouth moved there from Yarmouth. His dad was William from Yarmouth. I cant find a George in Yarmouth son of William who has the correct age. I.E. born 1834
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks . Martin.

Hi Martin and welcome to the boards I noticed that this is your first post.
In the 1851 census that Shirley found George is Williams nephew (brother son) he was born c 1844. Are you sure your 1834 is right. The original says that William 1806 was a sawyer not a lawyer. Looking at the IGI baptisms Williams parents were Luke and Margaret Knowles. They had other children baptised John 1793 - Luke 1795 - Elizabeth 1801 - Joshua Benjamin 1803 - Sarah Knowles 1808 - George Knowles 1811.
They may have had other children not baptised in Yarmouth. There is a good chance that one of the above sons was the father of George
I think that there is a possibility that William died in 1856 I can't find him in any other census's

Dear All in the group .
Thank you all very much for all the info. I have a copy of George angel and Eliz' brown marriage and it says age-- William 28 married 1862 and Elizabeth 30 years old Married in 1862.
I did see the family at 28 row but the age for George is quite a few years out . Now, George married eliz who was a widow and older than George it crossed my mind that George may have made himself a little older so as to make a good match for eliz' Could this have happened?
the info on the marriage cert' says father William angel and profession Mariner.
