hi i'm trying to find some information about my gt gt gt grandad his name is james hughes he was born around 1840 in manchester i know he married someone called ann her surname could be mcgrath and as far as i know they had 5 children maybe more wondered if anyone could find out whose jame's parents are ive used all my credits looking and found nothing please help me linda

1 of the childrens B/C will give you her maiden name

His marriage cert would give you his Dads name

Getting the marriage certificate will give you James' fathers name and occupation. Have been looking on the 1851 census...nothing stands out.
