I have found him on the 1901 census, but his wife is listed as sophia, and they were living in Penge. I t looks as if he had been married twice. But I cannot find the marriage between him and sophia.

That is deffinatley him married to sophia in 1901 as the daughter you have down as wellie is Nellie and she was my mothers mother.I have looked in the marriage records but nothing seems to be recorded for joshua and sophia's marriage, only the marriage between him and phoebe. ( Ithink sophia's maiden name may have been Durham).If you can find anything I would be grateful.
