	hello, i'm looking for the death of my g grandfather,who was married to nancy mountain in 1911 census he was aged 46, by 1917 on his sons marriage cert,he is declared deceased,but i cant find his death anywere,any help would be most welcome. just an update of the above,found his death in nottingham 1917, rampton hospital, so 100 yrs apply and cant get anymore info on him .what a b..mer.

Going by his and Nancy's marriage I think his birth year more likely 1859: West Yorkshire, England, Marriages and Banns, 1813-1935 Name: James William Ashton (miner) Birth Year: abt 1860 Age: 32 Marriage or Bann Date: 10 Jul 1892 Parish: Birstall, St Peter Father's Name: William Ashton (deceased) labourer Spouse's Name: Nancy Mountain, age 24 Spouse's Father's Name: James Mountain (miner)

	The one in 1915 appears to be James Willia Ashton ? Left his money to Alice Ashton widow

Member Since: July 2008 Posts: 18,042 Send Message	Having looked back through the census I'm pretty sure this is his birth registration, he's not on the 1861 census with his family: Surname First name(s) District Vol Page Births Sep 1861 ASHTON James William Dewsbury 9b 468 (It has also been wrongly recorded as page 268)

	thanks to all for the help in finding j w ashton,found his death in nottingham 1917 aged 50,rampton...so say no more,held up yet again 100yr rule apply :-
