Perhaps Vera Mary wasn't married to Mr Grey and later married someone else?

I think this is her dad. I have left his name out. His surname is different.

I purchased a birth certificate for my dad to find his family and have had no success. She is called Vera Mary Snell and his father is William Grey was in the RAF as a wireless engineer. She was at home farm, great finborough, stowmarket in 1943. He has Gipping Suffolk on his birth certificate. Please can anybody help
