Once again thanks guys for all your hard work.

Margee, had checked that listing but the address in the 1911 census does not agree with the address at time of marraige.

Tempest, I am really excited at the one you found as Williams address in 1910 at the time of Janes wedding was 44 Betram St. It appears that Jane either didnt know or lied about her dob.
Once again thanks guys :-D

I can't imagine that a marriage certificate wouldn't have witnesses named on it.

The record RutlandBelle found says they have been married one year which seems to fit.

Well spotted Shirley. I will delete the 1911 census I found as it's obviously the wrong one and don't want to confuse David.

Have you looked for her in 1911 which may give a more accurate dob and place of birth

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 6 Jun 2012 16:40

Does it give an occupation for her father? Who were the witnesses?

Hi

I am trying to find my great grandmothers name.
My grandmother, Jane Wilson, married my grandfather John William Hall on June 28th 1910 in South Shields. Her marraige certficate shows her father as William Henry Wilson and her dob as 1892. I cannot locate a Jane Wilson's birth cert with a William Henry Wilson as father and therefore am unable to locate her mother.
Any help would be appreciated
