I think the West Derby birth reg on p1 is the wrong one. She says born Liverpool so more likely to be this one - & therefore definitely Mary Eleanor

I found John Hitchen in the 1911 census living with somone else as a boarder, it said married but Catherine wasn't with him again.

not picking em up on the 1911 ! :-(

problem is theres many John Hitchen's born around that time .would cost a fortune buying certs !!

not finding any births post 1911 when mmn is listed on the GRO ref

That sounds like her death, I wonder where she got to? can you see any births for her? I was told there was a son named John about 1902 but have'n't confirmed it as yet

No Jessie is a mistranscription of the census. it isnt very well written but we think that Jessie was in fact Annie and is Ann Clark Sim born 1875 which fits in with the birth year stated,.
Mina L is another sister but cant see her birth reg but she did marry Attillo Verona.

So theres NO Jessie which is why she doesn't appear anywhere else that the mis transcription of the 1881 census

thank you all so much but I am now confused. Jessie and mina lily are on the same census so I would think they are different people? Is Jessie"s real name Annie C? Mina married Atillio Verona.

Another one of the family I am looking for is Catherine Jane can we find her anywhere? She married John Hitchen and he was a boarder with her family as above but she is no where to be found? Later census he was boarding else where but still without catherine but he noted he was married. would she show up if she were in hospital having a baby? just thoughts?

Should Mary be Mary Eleanor as in the 1911 census or is it definitely Mary Emily?

I agree. I think she is Annie C Sim on the 1891 census with parents.

I think you are right Christina and that would be Ann C born Sept qtr 1875 which would show as 1876 on census. I thought they were rather close together

Looking at the 1881 image I don't think it is Jessie, but Annie??

The way the J is written in Jane, John and James is nothing like the initial for the one transcribed as Jessie.

she isnt with the family in 1891 BUT theres a MINA L who doesnt show on the 1881 wonder if she was Jessie??
