Searching for descendants of Norman and Mildred Dixon who emigrated to Kyabram from Lancashire, UK, c 1920. Other names connected: Garlick, Wearing, Morrissey.

In case anyone else is as 'thick' as me - I looked it up and Kyabram is about 200k from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Norman and Mildred according to this tree were in Kyabram Victoria in 1919
There are 4 children, 3 named with no spouses and one "private"with an unnamed spouse and unnamed children
Norman died 1977 Bendigo and Mildred died 1963 Kyabram Vic

Many thanks everybody for your updates. A Norman Dixon travelled to Brisbane from London on Orama, arriving 9 Apr 1912. Norman married Mildred Garlick 16 Nov 1918 in Crosthwaite, Lancashire, UK, so presumably returned home inbetween. From 1919 he and Mildred appear in Kyabram electoral rolls (as do his parents George Frederick and Isabella, sisters Greta and Mary). Greta marries William Harvey Morrissey. Norman and Mildred's children would be my late father-in-law's first cousins. There seem to be at least 3 sons (Norman Reginald, Raymond Douglas and Ronald Wearing Dixon). From the electoral rolls I also see Colin Ronald Dixon and Shirley Mavis Dixon who may be related. I have started to contact owner's of the Ancestry Trees but as yet have not found a contact with first-hand information.

His sister Greta MORRISSEY died in 1972 aged 77 also in Kyabram.
