I've found information about my great grandmother lucy, but her birth records show no information about her own mothers maiden name. Lucy was born in 1904 and married John Webster in 1925. Any information about Lucy and her mother or any of her family would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Verity

Hello Verity, you really need to order the birth certificate to confirm mother's maiden name.

What was her father's name from her marriage certificate? We can then trace back in the census.

There is only one Lucy Aldred (no middle name or initial) on FreeBMD. The mother's maiden name was not included at that point so you will have to obtain her birth cert to progress further.

You could assume that the census details that Marie Celeste has found for you belong to your Lucy, but as she clearly says. It's a 'possibility'.

If you want to make sure that you are following the right family it's best to be certain of the facts.

When you get the cert, you can come back and we will all try to guide you in the right direction for your correct family.

I too would be interested to know where you got the middle name "Daisy" from? :-)

Lots of deaths for Lucy Websters so I did a death search on here for a Lucy D Webster. Only one came up and it's nowhere near in birth date or middle name.

not sure where daisy came from, perhaps im wrong with that. where did Lennon come from? think you may have solved my next puzzle?!

Totally amazed looking at the household for this asylum.
Michael Lennon is householder 126 of 146 - all staff.

The poor inmates are listed by initials, age and some also have birth place. It's heartbreaking with children ages 6 upwards. There are so many listed. The final 'inmate' is age 13 and householder 654.

Makes me think of those orphanages in Romania. :-(
