Trying to find some more info on parents of Frederick G and Ellen[a] L Pain born to Pain and Parfitt in Frome in 1921, apart from that, I know nothing! I know about Frederick's marriage and kids, but cannot find any marriages/deaths for Ellen either to give clues. Nor anymore children of Parfitt n Pain in Frome, nor a marriage at all for a Pain and Parfitt. Have tried a few spellings. |

You might need a birth cert. There is this, but way out of area: |

Not much point speculating I think as there is no obvious marriage - there are also a few Payne/Parfitts but not in right area. You really do need a birth cert to find out who the parents were. |

Someone has William & Beatrice on their family tree on Ancestry - if they are correct it is a different family. |

Of course Parfitt could be the lady's maiden name but if she'd been married before then the marriage to Pain would be in a different name. |

True...interesting. Also I found it interesting[funny] that that Parfitt family, their boys have quite normal names, Charles, William, Oliver...then Lemuel?! lol random. New one on me! |

In the early days Lemuel and Samuel were often interchanged although both were separate names. |
