Find Ancestors

Hi,
I am seeking information on my g grandfather John Fletcher who married Rebecca Ledger born June 1866 in PA. America. My g grandfather John
was a blacksmith in his early years but he became a parish councillor, 1894- 1929, and also a JP and a member of The Primitive Methodist Chapel in
Herrington, County Durham. I have lots of info when he was councillor and also when he was President of the Durham Colliery Mechanic's Assocciationb but
nothing on his time as a JP, does anyone know if records were kept or lists
of names of JP's or maybe Newspaper articles.
Any help would be great.

Thanks will try that on here, but know longer live in County Durham so not sure if I can get there local papers for then on line but will look in to it.

Edward Fletcher born about 1810 Painshaw married to Dorothy Dixon born the 4th
April 1811 in Oxclose, Washington, Tyne & Wear ( County Durham ), they were
married 24th March 1832 at All Saints Church, Penshaw.County Durham. Can anyone help me to find out about Edwards parents, I also have his birth place on
other information as Biddick, County Durham. I seem to have come to a dead end
with Edward and any Fletcher family before him I have his occupation as coal miner. If anyone can help me at all it would be much appreciated.

Hi Maddie and Mike,
Thanks very much for your help had some research done but seemed to be
abit of a blip re: the parents of Edward Fletcher and his date of birth and if
John Fletcher and Elizabeth Carr are my Edward Fletcher's parents. Will have
another look at the paper work I have.

Looking for more information on John Fletcher and Mary Humphrey, they were
married on the 31st July 1808 at Bishopwearmouth, both John and Mary were
of Bishopwearmouth at the time of there marriage, looking for any children or any family members please.

Also letter's dated 1785 for a John Fletcher, Mason, submitting bils to be paid for
masonry work on the Shotton Meeting House for the Society of friends-Quakers,
can anyone give me more information on this John Fletcher and hopefully his
family please.
