Find Ancestors

We are looking for any family for my father-in-law the above born in the Sussex in 1909 we know he had brothers and sisters, but not to sure how many if anybody can help we will be grateful.

what else do you know about him? do you have the names of any of his siblings, did he marry? any idea who his parents were?

Can only find a Sidney Harold Gibbs in 1911 census - is that likely?

EDIT: The one in 1911 was born Horsham which ties in with the birth Lynne found below.

The Herbert to which Glitterbaby has posted army records joined August 16th 1915.

He lists his mother as next of kin Emma Rhoda Gibbs she is guardian to his daughter Beatrice Ellen born 1910 , so not him

To trace Sidney Herbert's family back-over with any accuracy you really need to get his marriage certificate. That would give his father's name and occupation to enable us to track back through the census.
