I am trying to trace my mother's ancestors. Daniel Thomas lived in or near St Davids, I was told he was a carpenter, he married Martha Bowen, I was told they were farmers. The story is that they eloped to Swansea to get married and they had I believe 4 sons, Daniel, John, Sam and Tom and possibly a daughter called Martha. The family eventually moved to Newport in South Wales. The son Daniel, is my grandfather and he married Alice Williams in Swansea, the had a daughter Dorothy, my mother, and sons Daniel and William. |
