I can't see a sign of an emigration and they would have stayed in Scotland long enough for their children to be independant. |

It's also worth noting as i have mention previously, i now think the word 'Parkhead' after Christian Smith's name is actually her birth location. |

Another snippet in March 1804 same newspaper, says "an officer had been to Mull to recruit for the Canadian Regiment, and has been very successful. It is a matter of surprise that others are not sent to the Western Isles immediately, for our correspondent says "the inhabitants are coming from all quarters in boatfuls to enlist". |

"Arrived at Glasgow on the 1st, Major Robertson from Fort William Lochaber, with 150 brave young Highlanders for the Canadian Regiment. From the appearance of all the recruits we have seen belonging to this corps it will be one of the best corps in his Majesty's service". |
