Have you found the death of either which would help with their birth dates?

RE : birth of Robert Hart in Barony 1807.
The OPR usually states where the family were living at the time.
They were living in Parkhead. (in the East End of Glasgow )

Yes, i've worked that bit out now :-) .... but sadly there are sooooo many Christian Smith's born around the right time in Glasgow, it's hard to find the right one :-(

Just because she came from Parkhead at the time of marriage, doesn't mean she/they were born there :-(

I cannot find their deaths, this is also frustrating me!

Could they have actually gone to Canada?

I can't see a sign of an emigration and they would have stayed in Scotland long enough for their children to be independant.

I wonder if John died young and Christina/Christian remarried. There are one or two options. I also presume you have discounted the Christina Hart and children living in Paisley in 1841. I couldn't see any christenings for these children with right mother's name
