My mums paternal grandmother was Esther Matilda Emons born 30.1.1852 Bethnal Green

She married 1870 John Batchelor and 5 children with him I have all the birth certs and census info

John died in 1884 aged 37 from TB and in 1893 she married her cousin Frederick Hewitt ,a bachelor.

Frederick died in 1899 and in 1900 she married his elder brother Charles David Hewitt a widower who had previously been married to Esthers sister Mary Ann Charlotte Emons ,died Dec 1899

I have Esther on the 1901

the children listed are actually Batchelor surname from her marriage to John Batchelor NO sign of Charles David Hewitt.


On the 1911 census Esther is with her daughter Agnes now married , Her hubby has got some of her details incorrect
