Trying to find the parents of jeffrey williams born in burnley in 1909. Think he also had brother james, thomas and sisters, lily, marjorie, may and jane.
Possibility of mothers maiden name also being williams.

'Jeffrey Metcalfe' who is also boarding with them looks highly suspicious to me ???

Just my 'instinct' and I am going to bed now but I think it's worth exploring and I will take a further look in the morning.

thanks for that. yes, just thought that myself, even though it says he was married for 9 years. maybe he was a catholic and unable to remarry. ? Reckon three children out of wedlock is a bit much , but if she was living with this jeffrey metcalfe as his wife then you would think she would have used his name maybe??
A family member has jeffreys birth certificate somehwere, will get them to check it.

Hi . well done finding that. just found him being born in redmire in yorkshire, and marrying sarah annie cockshutt in 1901 when he would only have been 18, born in 1883.
