Hi I must agree with you Jonesey but I am not totally convinced as yet that Mary Jane pope nee Edworthy was Reginald's mother as implied by 1911 census report.
This Mary Jane had a brother James Edworthy Royal navy Sailor but he was not in the country at the time on Reg's conception or birth but was father ?Reginald a friend navy of James Edworthy

That is correct data for Baptism but on Reginald's birth cert it gives James Edworthy as father

But his baptism record gives father's name Reginald.

Thank you for your note yes that is correct but as a twist to this tale on Reginald's birth records it give father as James Edworthy
but on the next child Winifred it gives father Reginald on both certs
but I cannot find this Reginald on any other record

On the passenger list of his arrival in Canada in 1911 he's with Harriet, 38, Ida, 16 and John, 3. They're going to join Harriet's husband but I can't make out where. Possibly Brandon which is in Manitoba.

He was a Truck Driver - destination Liberal Club, Dartmouth

Travelling also: Harriett Edworthy, housewife, aged 54
