There are 3 Astill/Mawson births in co. Durham - 2 before the above marriage and 1 just after interestingly - so if you are truly desperate you could pursue this, though it's unlikely these family members will know much. |

Just to say that the one John George Danby listed as such of about the right age was born in Thornaby in 1884 and married Charlotte Ann Seaton but died in 1914. Even if the son's marriage certificate in 1936 did not show him as deceased, there are many examples of the word "deceased" being omitted from the details of the groom's father. |
