Find Ancestors

I have an address that I believe is from a family member in the Usa Its dated 1909 How do i find who lived there at this time
Any help please

The census in US was 1910. There are a few city directories.

I don't know how to search by address but someone might come along who can.

Meanwhile, if you want to give details of a person we can try to see where they were.

Can you give us a name of who you think might be living there? We can check the 1910 census.

address 340 main Street Leominster Mass. I thought at first it was in england But she mentions in the letter About the 'Fall' Autumn also about cousins coming over from St helen's England. This is the block ive come up against as I know my great grandmother visited cousins in st helen's in about 1922, but just can't get the correct link to Anderson or Johnson for my tree. I hope this does,nt sound to complicated and Thank you again for any help . My Great grandmother mother was called Annie Connelly.

OMG the letter is signed your cousin Mary Ann , I now have to fit in who the letter is written to as she starts it off with Dear cousin Thank you so much Jonesey .Im wondering if this Mary Ann is a cousin to my g grandmother elizabeth anderson who was married to a james Johnson
This letter is quite intriguing as it mentions' quote I wish your husband would be with us , I will be real dissapointed if he dont come I am looking for him every day'unquote and she mentions in the letter that her little girl must be a lot of company for her whilst her husband is away. Im presuming he went over to work!! Thanks again

I can only thank you both again for all the wonderful help. It has certainly given me a lot to think of and try and piece together/ I have a Robert Johnson in my tree a brother to my GGrandfather James Johnson My robert was born in Alnwick 1871 not sure where he fits in with the americans yet !!Nevertheless i will plod on Im pretty sure he must fit in with St helens and I ,m sure james and Elizabeth Johnson lived there a short while before moving back up to Northumberland.
off to bed for me now another hospital run tomorrow but hope to get down to some serious looking on Sunday

Thanks mgnv for this information I have Mary Johnson in my tree (no info) picked her up on the 1881 census age 8 born in Alnwick Perhaps this is how my GGrandmother came to visit st helens as mary would be a sister to my Ggrandfather certainly a lot to take in and track .
