My grandmother was born Henrietta Campbell in 1889 in st Georges in the east. married Albert Byatt in 1913 in Walthamstow. Her parents were Charles William Campbell and Emma Jane nee Kinsman. They married in 1875. Trying to find any children they had. Think they had a Rose who married a Thomas Henry in 1890. Can any one help with any more information. Many thanks for taking the time to read this post.

on the 1901 census. have an A. Campbell born abt 1871, but the marriage I have was for 1871 for Henrietta's parents. also A.C.Campbell 15 son ,E.Campbell 13 son. and grandma H.C. 11.on thye 1891 census I have an Augustus born asbt 1889 wapping and parents. In 1881 I have a family which match. but have children born before the 1875 marriage. Something is wrong, but struggling to see where.

Nothing unusual in children being born before the marriage

I checked the marriage - they are described as bachelor and spinster - so can discount a prior marriage for Charles - unless there was one, and the first wife was still around

Thanks this was the first census I looked at. and thoughty I had the right family. Rose was related to my nan. thought it was her sister. nbut then the marriages dates dont add up. and on Rose's birth cert. states mother as emma mondell. and my aunt did say that nan had a msister emily. there is an emily on this census I'm confused

So poss the Rose the on 1881 census with the4 other children and parents is not my nan's sister. but this one you have found as a boarder may be. thats would make more sense,but that still makes her born in 1871, 4years before Charles and Emma were married. I know this sometimes happens. My late aunt did say she thought nan had a sister Emma or Emily. but she dosn't appear with nan's family.

On the birth cert you have for Rose, who is her father ?

Can't find any records for Emma Mondell or even an Emma marrying a Mondell

On Rose's birth cert. parents Charles Campbell and Emma formerly looks like Mondell. birth date 6/9/1870 in saint georges in the east. its poss I have the wrong birth cert. Also on Charles and Emma nee Kinman marriage cert. states father of Charles. George Edward Campbell, Waterman. and Emma's father as Edwin Kinman deceased. they married 3.12.1875 in Southark.
\have also the 1861 census for Charles Campbell born abt 1844 living with mother Sophia , living in a coffee house. this makes sense as well because both the Campbells and the Byatt where coffee hse keepers.
