Ha ha ha......I posted that 1911 about 11.30ish and it didnt show up until later and it repeated itself 3 times! Ive deleted of course

Just been looking fo rher and can only come accross this for the 1911. I think it must be her as there is no birth in Hampshire for this girl and there does seem to be a Hamphire connection

Thank you for all your help. I did not know at first it was my fathers mothers maiden name until I started searching and got his birth certificate.

Lorraine, it would have been much easier and quicker if you'd posted all these details at the start!


You need to buy the marriage certificate(s) to check her father and also buy her death certificate as it will have her maiden on and if you feel really flush, her birth certificate which will show her parents ;-)

But at least it looks like she has been pinned down at last :-D

The Mckay name she used was my fathers mother maiden name as well, so not sure what to make of it, cant find anything on Mckay anywhere that refers to her, only know my mother also used both Wilkin and mckay until she married.

May be right...may be wrong. Looks like a change of name. If it is correct then they married 11 years after the first child was born.
