Assisting a NY relative, I'm looking for anyone connected to Albert who on Emigrating to USA, married a Catherine DONALDSON from Motherwell SCO., my 2nd. Cousin in 1926. Any info. a bonus, thanks

Curiously this seems to be the same person but mother is Helen Donaldson, 876 Glencairn St., Motherwell, Scotland.

Was a Battery Man and had been living in Toronto. It looks like he'd arrived in Halifax on the Saturnia 11 Mar 1911.

On the form his name is given as Albert Robert but the Robert has been crossed out.

** The occupation of the Albert on the 1930 looks like Foreman Producer - Groceries.

I wonder if it's your Albert Hastings who enlisted for WW1 in Canada?
He was born 2 Feb. 1894, Oxford, England.
Next of kin, brother William Hastings, 15 Poplar Rd., Botley, Oxford, England.
Present address, 102 Jackson St. N., Hamilton, Ontario.
Trade, stockkeeper.
Enlisted 8 April 1916, Toronto.

According to a tree on ancestry Catherine McGivney was born c 1891 in Dalziel, Lanark. She married Daniel Donaldson in 1912 in Motherwell and had three children with him. He died 1914 in Ypres. Catherine went to US in 1923 and married Albert Hastings in 1926.
