On the marriage cert it has Duke street where she was living at the time of marriage , and thats what her son Alfred had on his birth cert.

Charles father baker confectioner. living 34 fountain st Dudley at time of marriage.
.
So i know that this marriage is correct.

Now all i have to do is undo all the xxxxxxxxx tree.

My husbands side i should have known!! no one on his side never asked any questions!! by the sound of it.
wait till i see my sister inlaw .

the family

know that Julia is correct because they knew Hickman name was in the family. They said they came from the ironbridge way. It all fits in 1901 census where they moved to Dudley got married Dudley Alfred born Dudley.
We were under the impression Charles second name was Henry but marriage had Edward. ,,charles father we found out was David Henry.
So i,m wandering if there as been a mistake by marriage.? H may look like E ,,,,,IF HARD TO READ,,,,
There is a birth for Charles Henry cheshire that matches.

i think i may have to send for the birth or marriage just to see what it has
written. for Charles / Julia.

I do have Alfred,s birth ,,, Alfred Henry Cheshire b 1909 Upper Gornall Dudley parents Charles Cheshire / Julia M A Hickman. occ Baker journeyman.

Which matches the one in question but its where they had them all born that through me .


Charles parents and siblings seem to be ok , right area .
