	Looking for the parents and forebears of Robert Dodsworth, born in York? in 1779 and died 1829 in York. he was listed as a carter/farmer/porter. He and isabella lived in the Bedern in York and had several children including my GggGrandfather John, born in 1824/5, and married to Hannah Cooper of Kirkhammerton.. David J D

	Robert Dodsworth, born 1778/9 at East Cowton, is the only one who would fit my family tree. However I can find no details of what happened to him. Did he move to York with farming carts and wagons to become a "carter"? Was he the one who married Isabella Walker in 1808 i9n York? I would love to find some details to confirm the link ---or otherwise! David j Dodsworth.

	pm received today:- I have Robert D of East Cowton in my sights but know nothing of what he did! Did he marry once or maybe twice? Was Isabella Walker his second wife at age 29? There are no records of what he did. Maybe he took his farm carts to York and started a "Carter's" business? I don't know, so any lead or information would be useful. He is the only perswon who fits my Tree date-wise. Any suggestions would be welcome. David J Dodsworth.
