The marriage for Thomas Wright to Emma Boucher was in 1868 and totally unrelated to the record for your Thomas who married Emma Richardson in 1869 |

Thanks Porkie Pie, still do not quite understand why the confusion with Emma Boucher though when it is certainly Emma Richardson. |

Don't rule out a marriage taking place after a couple have had children, it did happen sometimes. |

Thanks guys but do not think the 1873 marriage is the one. They would have had 3 children already by then. I have Thomas pegged as born 1842 Asterby,Lincs son of Christopher, friend thinks he is 1842 son of John born Hagworthingham. Just trying to be accurate so we can continue search. |

Lesley - the 1873 marriage that Liverbird posted above seems more likely. |

thanks guys, hadn't considered she may have been married before. Apparently my friend tried to order the marriage cert but it could not be found. Also on one census, Emma's sister was visiting, her surname was Richardson and she was unmaried. |

Hello Lesley - it should be on. However, if there are questions over the legitimacy of the person getting married then the validity of the father's information is questionable. |

I'm afraid you have to purchase the certificate to find the names of the father |

Can any helpful soul tell me if the grooms fathers name is on the marriage certificate, when the father is still alive? If so, is anyone able to do a lookup on a marriage for Thomas Wright and Emma Richardson (GR have put it as Emma Boucher which is wrong) in 1868 Horncastle. Need verification of grooms father. Thanks everyone |
